Josh McLean is an artist merging rap and melodies into a new, modern sound. Taking inspiration from Travis Scott, The Weeknd and Drake etc. Josh McLean had honed his sound into something that his fans can relate to and pinpoint gaining him traction in his hometown of Aberdeen Scotland. On 12th February 2021, Josh McLean released his first single NMS which opened up opportunities to be played on amazing radio as well as being featured in BBC iPlayer documentary ‘TUNE’. After taking a break to focus on rebranding his sound, on 4th August 2022, Josh McLean released his debut EP Strawberry Bank Parade which further pushed his name out gaining him the chance to perform at many shows in Scotland from cities such as, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Dundee & Glasgow. Shortly following the success of Strawberry Bank Parade, Josh teamed up with fellow Glaswegian musician ‘Alex McCall’ to release hit single Purple Nights on 27th September, a live rendition is played with the electric guitar at any of Josh’s future shows. Perhaps his strongest and most known song, Josh McLean dropped hit tune, Like I Do on 19th June 2023 with his first video on YouTube on Between the Lines YouTube page, the video was shot in Aberdeen, Glasgow and overseas in Albufeira, Portugal and brought along success of many shows across Scotland with organisers such as Heatwave, Hours ABDN, Pitch etc.
