Artist and producer DaddySoundBox takes an eclectic collection of influences- bringing contrast to his music and yet seamlessly making them work. With inspiration from grime, afrobeats, and RnB, he places haunting, minor key melodies alongside tight vocals and dark beats; with a laid back, party atmosphere, this fusion gives him just enough alternative attitude to set him apart amongst both rappers and songwriters. 
 Working occasionally as a guest DJ on Sub FM, DaddySoundBox- real name Kevin Igwe- takes musical experimentation as an integral part of songwriting. Whether making guest mixes or bringing together disparate genres, DaddySoundBox sees the exciting possibilities which can only come from taking risks. Starting as a producer over ten years ago, his keen ear for arrangements helps blend together his many influences, and chilled, RnB style vocals give way to intense and high-energy rapping. With inspiration from both grime and drill, Igwe has taken an entrepreneurial, independent mindset from both these home-grown UK genres.
