Biography
Jean-Charles Debove, aka Callaghan, has been a passionate musician since childhood. Trained in classical and jazz saxophone at the Conservatoire for eight years, he went on to learn to play many other instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, percussion, piano, flute, clarinet and handpan. At the age of 16, he began training as a wind instrument repairer at the Institut technologique européen des métiers de la musique in Le Mans, while pursuing a musical career with the group ‘Natty Crew’. This experience led him to perform on prestigious stages such as the Festival d'Energies, the Festiv'été, and the Nuits Métis, sharing the bill with artists such as The Skatalites Band, Deluxe, Tonton David, Raspigaous... In recent years, he has turned his attention to electronic music, training in computer-aided design to compose and produce his own tracks. This evolution has enabled him to collaborate with other artists and enrich his musical universe. He recently joined the Afro house band Coco, where he plays the saxophone, flute and handpan as a multi-instrumentalist. At the same time, he joined the Ritmin Records label, founded by his friend and artist Rohm. With this label, he will perform as a DJ on several dates, affirming his evolution and opening a new chapter in his artistic career.
