Brian Martey goes by the stage name Toyboi , He’s a rapper/songwriter originally from Teshie but resides in Osu in The Greater-Accra region of Ghana. He’s been actively doing music for four years. He stands out with his kind of rap with how he blends the Queen’s English, Twi, Ga and Pidgin. Does Hiphop/Afropop genres with a major influence of Grime. Toyboi got signed to Supernova Records in 2017. He burst onto the music scene after videos of him free-styling went viral with his “Bar4Bar Wednesday” series on social media which caught attention and got him endorsements from some industry players including the likes of Stormzy, Efya , Sarkodie, Reggie Rockstone , Jayso, Tinny, Omar Sterling and Mugeez of R2bees and many others. In 2018, Toyboi got featured by Sarkodie on His “Biibi Ba” track that made major waves across the globe and got Toyboi to grace stages like the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019, The Rapperholic Concert in 2018 and some few others. He also got featured on Fuse ODG’s “Road to Ghana EP” with the song Titled “Osu” in 2019 Toyboi has worked with producers like Killbeatz, Possigee , Streetbeatz, Kuvie, Fortune Dane and some few other Ghanaian based producers, he’s also worked with OGD Dennis of NSG, a UK based Ghanaian Artist/producer and Ghettoboy (GB) also a UK based Ghanaian Artist/producer He’s also worked with artists like Sarkodie, Fuse ODG,Kwamz and Flava,Ghettoboy, Kwesi Arthur, Kofi Mole, Kelvynboy, Quamina MP, Twitch and a few others
