b. Michael Jenkins, 26 November c. 1965, Helena, Arkansas, USA. The eldest son of Conway Twitty (b. Harold Lloyd Jenkins), Michael appeared on stage with his father at the age of eight. Determined on a career in music, when he launched his solo career he appeared as Conway Twitty Jnr. Developing a strong on-stage persona, he offers a repertoire of songs drawn from many areas of country music. His stage shows have included the Michael Twitty Show, the Memories Of Conway Show, and the Twitty Bird Show. He has presented these shows all across the USA and also in other countries, including Japan. Twitty has released several albums through recent decades, mostly available only at concerts and through his website. His son, Tre Twitty, is also a singer.
