Hailing from Grandview, a small suburb outside of Kansas City, Missouri, Israel grew up in a state of constant fear. Forced into homelessness as a teenager, he hid his pain from his peers but formed an unlikely trio with two young adult men he now considers family. Out of this blossomed a passionate relationship with music under the guidance of his brother, Genesis. Rap quickly became the outlet for the domestic violence trauma he experienced growing up. Naor’s journey is new but his tenacious efforts have already produced 8 singles, 2 EPs, 1 full length album and a conjugate documentary in the span of less than two years. The documentary, “4431 The Israel Naor Story '' earned finalist in the Independent Shorts Awards, semifinalist in the Indie X Film Festival, and official selection for the Lift-Off Global Network First Time Filmmaker Sessions. His approach embraces alternative conscious rap mixed in lo-fi hip-hop styled instrumentals that he creates himself. A self taught sound engineer, every one of his songs is his own creation from the ground up and gets mixed and mastered by his raw talent alone. The complete oversight of production gives Israel’s discography a special narrative of his lifetime by showcasing his evolving skills, and continues to break down his childhood barriers as he navigates adulthood.
