Ten years ago, Clément Leveau gave birth to Jumo, a musical avatar through which he asserted a singular identity characterized by sophisticated production, heady melodies, and a cinematic atmosphere allowing him to indulge his passion for imagery. The release of the track 'Aléa', acclaimed by Radio Nova, marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration with the Parisian label Nowadays Records (Fakear, La Fine Equipe, Clément Bazin, Grand Soleil, etc) Trained as a graphic designer, Clément turned Jumo into a true transdisciplinary project in which sound and video mutually enrich each other, employing his collective Cela to serve a dark, personal, surreal, and often perplexing visual universe that perfectly complements his music. After releasing music videos and EPs throughout 2019, Jumo starts the decade with a highly anticipated debut album. More than just a synthesis of his past works, 'Et le vent ?' extends the artist's experiments and adds new shades to his palette. In line with his previous works, 'Et le vent ?' perpetuates Jumo's penchant for storytelling in all its forms. This is evident in 'L'exode', the album's lead single, and its impeccably aesthetic video portraying rural drama. 'Steve' pays tribute to Steve Maia Caniçot, a young man who died after a police charge on the docks of Nantes on June 21, 2019. It's a track where Jumo confronts the grunge intonations of Léonie Pernet. An unexpected marriage that feels inevitable.
