Ulrich Drechsler / saxophones Oliver steger / bass Alex Deutsch / drums Year 2000. within a very short period of time the band developed into a safe bet and an absolute Insider tip on their way to become an absolute guarantor for high-class acoustic club music in the Viennese Music scene and beyond Through their albums “Café Drechsler” (Universal Music / 2002) and “Radio Snacks” ( MouthToMouth/2004) CAFÉ DRECHSLER provided internationally a cause for a big stir. The albums are released in over 20 countries and reach among others in Germany, Greece, Australia and Indonesia positions in the Top 10 airplay and club charts. In 2004 follows the first nomination for Austria’s most important music prize, the Amadeus Austrian Music Award. The following year, as part of their second Amadeus nomination, the Band actually received the Award for "Best Album in the Jazz/Blues/World Music category". In 2006 the Band Members mutually agree to devote their time to their individual and own projects. After a 10 year hiatus an reunion takes place, unexpected for many, with an Album “And Now.....Boogie” ( Universal Music 2017) being recorded, which was very well received by both media and audiences.
