Born and raised in Cincinnati, Evan fell in love with music at the tender age of seven. Stemming from an elementary poetry assignment, he discovered and developed his niche for writing raps. This love followed him through his elementary stage and ushered him into his high school years at Hughes High School. By age 14, while in high school, he landed an audio production internship at Cincinnati’s #1 Hip-Hop/R&B station, Radio One’s 101.1 FM (formerly 100.9 WIZF FM). Mentored by “Big Greg” (Hot 107.5 FM Detroit), and Jeri Tolliver, former 1230 WDBZ Program Director, he spent countless hours studying Public Service Announcements, jingles, demo reels and other audio projects. In 2010, Evan then moved to Atlanta and enrolled in the Art Institute of Atlanta, majoring in Audio Production. While attending, he networked with Hot 107.9 FM’s “J-Nicks” also known as Stuey Rock. Stuey Rock signed Evan to his in-house production company Fresher Den U Entertainment. In 2012, Evan produced Easy Lantana’s “All Hustle, No Luck.” Soon thereafter, another major hit and Billboard chart topper, K-Camp’s “Blessings.” Evan utilized his royalties to launch his own studio, Timeless Recording Studio. In addition to being one of the most sought-after producers in Cincinnati, Evan branded himself as an established artist. Transitioning from producer to artist, he reinvented himself and established “MamaNamedMeEvan”.
