In October 2018 Laura Llorens, looking for partners to develop her work, met Ludo Bors, boss of the Q-Sounds Recording label. Laura had several albums to her credit and a project to achieve. She wanted to give her folk and country oriented compositions a Soul dimension. After listening to her compositions, Ludo Bors suggested that he collaborate, with the sole condition of being able to artistically direct the project, from the terms of arrangements and colors of the pieces to the choice of musicians. The adventure was on ... this is the birth of the Shadows Of Love! The group led by Ludovic Bors on keyboards revolves around Harysson Jean Baptiste on guitar (POJ / The SuperTights), Loïc “butcher” Betems (POJ / The SuperTights / Lisa Mélissa & the Mess) and the “new comer” Niko Chompré (drums). The quatuor, at work in numerous productions of the label quickly finds its marks and brings to life the ten tracks of the album "Home / Chez moi", giving them depth and intensity. The long awaited result is in 10 tracks in which the multiple influences of Laura Llorens merge into Q-Sounds Soul. English and French mingle to reflect the dual roots of the singer from Wisconsin now based in France. Laura Llorens reminds us that classic Soul is what permeates her music. It constitutes the cement of this magnificent first album, a new stone in the building of French Soul, now led for 10 years by the label Q-Sounds Recording.
