If Taylor Swift joined a metal band, you’d get Machine on a Break. Machine on a Break is a thought-provoking pop-metal project, shedding the light on the darkness inside the mind of a neurodivergent nerd. Heavily inspired by I Prevail and Architects, this solo female artist brings clean vocals and catchy pop sensibilities to the growling motion of 8 string guitars and double kick. She is exploring the catharsis of songwriting throughout the darkest of times, with the intention that her stories are helpful to more than just her. Her music is an anthemic call to people who have been hurt and pushes them through to a better tomorrow.​ After being named as a Grand Finalist (top 8) in the Listen Up Songwriting Prize in 2022, Machine on a Break went on to support Wicked Things and Krave, then playing the Northern Beaches Music Festival before moving from Sydney to Canberra. Like a phoenix, she is ready for rebirth in her new future. Her single and EP releases to date have received airplay across Australia and internationally.
