OPERA MAGAZINE _ The British/New-Zealand mezzo-soprano Joanna Harries is an exciting young talent in the world of classical music and opera, with a repertoire stretching from baroque to contemporary music in opera, oratorio, song and Lieder. In 2021/22 she was a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London, performing with the orchestras of English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera North and Scottish Opera. In the 2022/23 season she makes her debut with Opera Rara and the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Southbank Centre and with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican. She sings roles for Opera Holland Park, The Barber Opera, West Green House Opera and at Buxton International Festival and is the mezzo soloist for the Mozart Requiem with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Cadogan Hall.
