Biography

Gracie Ella fuses the best elements of many musical styles and genres, but she ultimately lives outside all the boxes. She is an astounding soulful vocalist who can channel the spirit of greats like Erykah Badu, Frank Ocean and Amy Winehouse. “I’d love for this music to help people,” says Gracie. “Music offered me a release and comfort, so I knew I wasn’t the only one experiencing the feelings that I had. That’s what I’d love to give.” Gracie Ella is most importantly a songwriter who uses all of her gifts to make music that touches people. Her songs defy easy categorization, but her vocals and her songs have drawn amazement from giants of music including Sting, James Fauntleroy and Oak Felder. In 2019 Gracie was signed as a songwriter to major publisher SonyATV through Twenty Seven Music, a company run by industry giant Barry Weiss (RECORDS - home to 24kgGoldn, Jive Records) and hit songwriter Jenna Andrews (Drake, Lennon Stella, Benee).    Born and raised in the town of Oakville not far from Toronto, she can recall belting along to mom’s Céline Dion records among her earliest memories. Meanwhile, her maternal grandparents played accordion, sang in Italian, and “jammed out all of these classics from Italy in the kitchen.” Her father later on introduced her to Canadian rock band "Rush" which lead to Gracie's obsession with classic rock. As time went on Gracie grew to become a very bright eyed, bushy tailed musician with an eclectic musical taste.
