Donna Ares (born Azra Kolaković on January 1, 1977 — died on October 2, 2017) was a Bosnian singer, songwriter, pianist and writer. From the age of 14, she was a member of the rock group "Camino Verde". She graduated from music school and studied English language and literature at university. She made her first public appearance in 1997 under the name “Donna Ares” on Dora, and in the same year she achieved great success with the song “Kazna” at the "Bihać '97" festival, which launched her high on all the charts in B&H. The following year, she records her first studio album; "Ti me više ne voliš". She experienced great success throughout the Balkans in 2005, where her song "To mi nije trebalo" reached its peak and won all the awards for the absolute hit of the year. She released a total of 6 studio albums; "Ti me više ne voliš" (1998), "Čuvaj se dušo, ja sam tatin sin" (2002), "Jackpot" (2004), "Nemam razloga za strah" (2006), "Fantastična" (2009) and "Povratka nema" (2011). Her music career stopped with the song "Suze moje plaču za oboje", which Donna released in March 2014, just a few months before she found out that she was suffering from cancer. She held a concert in Zetra, Sarajevo in front of 20,000 people on April 16, 2015, and was nicknamed "Žena zmaj" by the audience. She died on October 2, 2017. It is definite that Donna's music and the lyrics she wrote will be passed down from generation to generation and will never be forgotten thanks to her ageless talent.
