Starting her journey in Leytonstone, East London’s Songstress Evie Rose describes her sound as ‘all things soul and heartfelt’. Growing up, Rose was surrounded by everything from R&B, Classic Soul, Jazz Funk, UK Grime, Reggae and Dance Music - this has not only influenced her sound but also her desire to write and create music that leaves a lasting impact. Performing from an early age, and attending dance and theatre schools across East London for the most part of her childhood, Rose began writing poetry when she was 10. By her teenage years her poetry had developed into songs inspired by the tracks she had danced to, the city she grew up in and the issues she was passionate about. She continued her love of the arts at Goldsmiths (UOL) graduating in Popular Music Studies in 2018. Unafraid to confront difficult themes and pairing her unique tone with raw honesty, while London’s gig circuit was on Lockdown, Rose independently released her debut EP ‘6’s & 7’s. Evie Rose takes pride in being a writer and vocalist without boundaries, working alongside creatives across all genres and media. She most recently features on Loko’s ‘Always You (Out Of Love)’ released on DnB duo Sigma’s Beats Bass Life label in March 23 as well as Benny Page’s LP ‘Run For Cover’ with the track ‘Life Lessons’ being released in November 23. Rose is currently working on her follow up project ‘2N8’.
