Bassid is Bas van Driel from the Netherlands. Bassid started as a project in the late nineties where it was more techno and acid oriented, but around 2000 the psytrance virus took him and started his journey searching for deep bass and trance with an uplifting beat and funk. After finding and releasing through some like minded labels such as early Crotus records (Danmark), Cytopia (NL) and Sunlightrecords (Germany), he was picked up by Arkona Creation Records from the UK. At this time his tracks started to appear on compilations and various other albums around the world, and had him play over mainly European festivals and parties. Since a few years he has been living in his hometown in Groningen, where he has a family, and releases tracks from his private studio. Still producing quite his own view on psytrance.
