Hailing from Birmingham (0121), Lil Choppa is a versatile artist known for painting vivid pictures through his music, drawn from personal experiences and the world around him. Influenced by legends like Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Chip, 2Pac, and Larry June, Lil Choppa began making waves in the Birmingham scene at just 13 years old, putting out mixtapes, clashing MCs, and collaborating with peers under Dynamic Recordingz. He later honed his craft with 2000&Triple ENT, leading to the release of multiple projects over the years. In 2012, Lil Choppa teamed up with Dapz On The Map to release the joint mixtape Matter of Time, which was a breakthrough success. Tracks like "Start Over," "Straight Up," and its remix spread across the UK, attracting the attention of artists like Skepta and Stormzy. Following this, he made a memorable appearance on Jammer’s iconic Lord of the Mics 5 in 2013, clashing with Zeo and cementing his presence in the grime scene. His rising profile saw him perform across the UK, sharing stages with top acts such as Boy Better Know and joining Big Narstie on his Base Defence League tour in 2014. Over the years Lil Choppa continued to release music while appearing on prominent radio platforms like Rinse FM and BBC 1Xtra.
