Jackal Trades is a Glasgow-based alternative underground act that merges Hip Hop, Electro and Punk influences to deliver lyrical storytelling with impact whilst offering interpretative dancing for people who need subtitles for Scottish accents they will never understand. A 4th album is expected in early 2024 which is a follow up of 'At This Point' (2021) , 'Trip Hazard Advisor' (2018) and debut album 'Need the Character(s) ' (2016) The band were nominated for 'Best Hip Hop' at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards and have supported the likes of Sage Francis & B Dolan, Action Bronson , Abdominal & DJ Format , The Mouse Outfit, Mickey 9s and The Moods. Fronted by Mark McRadio , who some may know from The Girobabies, You Call That Radio and Traffic Cone Records. This new project focuses on lockdown isolation , big beats , digital stupidity and punchlines that mash between the satirical and the surreal. Jackal Trades have been regulars of the festival circuit playing the likes of Kelburn Garden Party, Audio Soup , Knockengorroch whilst being hand-picked for XPO North in Inverness , The Brighton Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe .
