Nashville Opera, founded in 1981, shares the power and passion of both classic and contemporary operas with Music City. Under the leadership of Artistic Director & CEO John Hoomes since 1995, the company has staged the premiere productions of eight works. In addition to mainstage performances, Nashville Opera's Education Tour reaches 25,000 students annually. Additionally, Nashville Opera's mobile stage, Opera On Wheels, brings free concerts to neighborhoods and parks across Middle Tennessee.
