May Roosevelt is a greek composer, thereminist and producer. Born and raised in Thessaloniki, she took to violin lessons at the age of twelve. A few years later she focused on the pioneering electronic musical instrument theremin and the composition of electronic music. In 2009, she released her first EP, "Panda" (Coorecords), that led to her participation at the Red Bull Music Academy 2010 in London, followed by her album "Haunted" in 2011. Two years later she released her album "Music to the poetry of Ntinos Christianopoulos - Mousiki Se Poihsi Ntinou Christianopoulou" (Ianos Publications) and in 2017 the LP «Junea» (Inner Ear). Her most popular musical piece, "Memoir #02 [06.12.09] ", has amassed 40M+ streams on Spotify to date. In 2022, May Roosevelt released the singles Miniature I, Miniature II & Miniature III. Her latest album "Pearl" was released in July 2023. All of May Roosevelt's albums have received rave reviews from the Greek and international music press. She has collaborated with Greek and foreign artists and has given concerts in Greek and European cities (London, Barcelona, Hamburg, Berlin among others). She also composes original music for theatre, documentaries and cinema.
