Leonardo Prakash is a French-Mexican musician with a diverse musical background. Trained in guitar and sitar during his youth, he later expanded his repertoire to include harp, flute, and jarana jarocha. His unique musical style transcends traditional boundaries, blending the intrinsic sounds of these instruments into genres such as classic rock and roll, flamenco, Indian raag, and folk music from Latin America, Turkey, Japan, the Middle East, and East Africa. In recognition of his talent, Prakash was awarded the FONCA (National Endowment Fund for Culture and the Arts) scholarship for young artists in 2013. Subsequently, in 2017, he received a special scholarship from FONCA for the recording of his debut solo album, produced in Madrid. Over the years, Prakash has collaborated on a wide array of musical projects and has toured extensively in Europe, the US, Canada, and Mexico. His collaborations span various genres, and he has worked with acclaimed artists such as Bogdan Djukic, Jesus Mejía, Mitote Jazz, Jorge Pardo, Historias de Radne Krishna, Mar De Leva, Ganabia, Elamir, Mirabai Ceiba, Jai-Jagdeesh, and Snatam Kaur, among others.
