Inspired by playing guitar hero, Mike Silvestri decided to take up guitar seriously at the age of 15. Soon after high school graduation, he realized he couldn’t just play screaming guitar solo’s out of an amp in his small college dorm room, so he switched to acoustic. He started singing at the age of 18 to accompany his rhythm acoustic guitar playing. After graduating college in 2014, and after working several dead end jobs in corporate America he finally realized he could become a professional musician instead. Mike Silvestri has been anything, but slow in the Chicago music scene since being fully active starting in 2017. Touring the USA, while playing just over 250 performances each year has turned him into a true veteran. In addition to live performance, his obsession for songwriting, and music production is very evident. He has written over 100 songs, and has self-released a 5-song EP, Mike Silvestri EP, on June 2017. His 2nd 5-song EP, Ida Clara, was release on June 2018.
