Brussels-based composer, violinist and harpist , Margaret Hermant is a member founder of Echo Collective, Quatuor MP4 and BOW quintet. She has recorded and performed with composers including Jóhann Jóhannsson, A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Adam Wiltzie, Rutger Hoedemaekers, Dustin O’Halloran, where she has helped bring to life works of post classical music. She compose for movie, theater pieces, installations and dance performances, where she uses mostly harp, processing harp and violin. Her works starts always with a musical gesture, improvising, playing drones and looking for new sounds to experiment.
