We are a chamber ensemble specialising in 20th and 21st century music. Our desire to perform lesser-known and new works, which often present mental and technical challenges to conquer, has over the years become a passion and a life mission motivating us into ever larger and more serious dramaturgies transcending the boundaries of music. Since our foundation in 2012 and our first concert on February 21, 2013, we have together staged over one hundred and sixty diverse works of contemporary domestic and international music, over fifty of which have been given their world premieres. We divide our main dramaturgical goals into three creative lines - young music; Slovak music after 1945; foreign music after 1945 up to the present. In 2018 we released our debut album New Dawn on the Real Music House label. The 2020 recording dedicated to the seminal chamber works of the 1960s Slovak music - Avant-garde of the '60s was released in 2021 on the Hudobný fond label. In the same year, a new branch of our activities was established under the name UBU Collection (Utopian Gateway of Art), through which we help to disseminate contemporary art through publishing activities.
