Shobra El Genera is an Egyptian Mahraganat artist, a mix of rap Et electro-chaabi. He gained popularity quickly due to his creative direction of introducing different types of music to his Listeners (electronic, oriental music, trap, dubstep, reggae). He is the author of his songs and collaborates with many producers to compose the music; the most popular collaborators were Amr Haha and Molotof. His lyrics talk about life in the popular neighborhood of Cairo, the youth's daily struggle, and their dreams and opportunities. His solo project, "Shobra El General," began in 2008 in the streets of Cairo; he started performing in many Egyptian venues and theatres in 2014. His international career embarked in 2021 when he began performing at European venues and festivals such as the Art Rock festival, Nyege Nyege festival, Petit Bain, Freakout Club, Fusion festival, and many more.
