Frederick Melendez aka Stylolive is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, engineer, DJ and Grammy nominated producer.Stylo began his career producing for fellow Bay Area residents, Los Rakas and his credits have grown to include Too Short, Kinky, Lizzy Liz, Jaewynn and Maffio among others. His love of travel is reflected in his constantly evolving Global Pop sound which fuses a unique blend of Latin, Hip-Hop, Dance, Downtempo and Funk with live instrumentation. His music has been licensed to Network Television, Feature Films and video games. Stylo has performed at Coachella, the Latin Music Festival, as well as toured Europe, and Latin America featuring a set that blends DJing with live elements.Stylolive and Los Rakas were nominated for a Grammy for Best Latin Rock, Urban, or Alternative Album for “Los Rakas “in 2016. In 2020 he formed Succo Sounds a record label focusing on releasing singles that he produced with worldwide distribution through DGF/Altafonte.
