Italian rock foursome Sisma was formed in 1994 by guitarist Mark Cillai and bassist Simone D'Augustin and later joined by singer Claudius Mangano and drummer Simone Scamardi. That same year, the band started performing locally, initially singing in English, playing a style based on 1970s hard rock.
