Mikael Nybom, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is the electronic music artist behind the alias Yomi One. However it may seem, he is not entirely new to the dance music scene, and has since 2007, through other collaborations and aliases, released tracks on different dance music labels. (See Before Yomi One playlist for a selection of these) As Yomi One, his music is deeply rooted in his early explorations of genres like Detroit techno and Chicago acid house, along with the styles that evolved from them. Over the years living in Stockholm and London, other genres have also influenced him, resulting in a recent discography often characterized by a deep, acidic, and techy sound.
