Johny is a rapper, producer, and a music entrepreneur born in Seoul, Korea. He grew up in different parts of the world from SoCal to Beijing. He is multilingual and this diverse background has melted into his music. He began his music career in 2016, when he single-handedly produced his home-made album all by himself from his home in OC, California. He has been recognized for his remarkable marketing skills at a very young age as he biked around town, installing his music to the display phones of local retail stores. In 2017, he was brought on air in the Korean TV show ‘High School Rapper’ where he introduced himself to the world. His strong red outfit and lyrics were able to touch a lot of audience as he first rose to fame. In 2018, he worked with K Pop #1 hitmaker such as Tommy Lee (RedVelvet, EXO), meanwhile, moving back and forth between the U.S to keep up his academics. 2019, Johny got into many prestigious universities around the world, where he ultimately chose Yonsei. In 2019, Johny moved back to Korea and was contacted by the rap star San E who heard his demo and began training. He made his next TV appearances via the famous rap show ‘SMTM 8,9,10’ (2020-21). Since then, Johny has continually added songs to his discography. It is fascinating as all Johny’s songs are released on an awareness day that is related to RED; shows the artist’s passion and love for red. He has been leading his fans to take part in many charities through (RED), RedNoseDay, Red Cross.. etc.
