Jon Hao (also known as Hon Jao) is a Taiwanese American violinist based in D.C./Maryland. He studied classical violin from early childhood until attending university, when he began experimenting with creative improvisation and a departure from traditional classical violin. In 2017, he joined Baltimore based producer/DJ duo Bunk Buddha, bringing a cascade of live electric effects to live performances as well as recording. Jon Hao regularly collaborates with other artists of all genres and styles, and takes listeners on a sonic, emotional journey meant to heal as well as evoke inner reflection.
