Natalie Nox is a Mexican-Canadian music producer, DJ, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Toronto. Born and raised in Mexico’s Huasteca region meant being surrounded by beautiful and uplifting traditional folk music that ignited her love for the guitar and songwriting. Her passion for playing music as a DJ stemmed from Mexico’s lively block parties and festivals, where the tropical sounds of Cumbia, Merengue and Salsa set the foundation for her love of getting people on the dance floor. Searching for a better life and driven by a desire to expand her musical horizons, Natalie made a bold move to Toronto, Canada, a city renowned for its thriving underground music scene and multiculturalism. The fusion of Mexico’s vibrant rhythms with the pulsating beats of Toronto’s underground dance floors shaped her artistry and defined her sound; a marriage of Huasteca-inspired melodies and lyrics with tribal percussion and bass-heavy grooves influenced by Toronto’s underground club sound.
