Born and raised in Chicago, by blues musicians, guitar legend, Joanna Connor, bassist Stan Mixon and club dancing grandmother aka YiaYia. J.MiXX was bred to make music at an early age. Playing drums at live shows with his mother’s band across Europe and the U.S starting when he was only 4 years old. This started his love for music and hunger for more. Now he is a hip-hop/R&B producer/songwriter with music credits on TV shows such as, Lena Waithe’s “The Chi”, BET’s “Sistas” by Tyler Perry, Lonzo Ball’s “Ball in The Family”; as well as producing for artists & athletes such as Tinashe, Valee, Iman Shumpert, Marvin Bagley and others.
