Huron John is always evolving. The 23-year-old multimedia artist from Chicago (based in Nashville) has entirely produced, written, and engineered a now multi-album discography delivering a psychedelic melting pot of indie-alternative, electro-R&B & sample-collage. Genre-defying sounds tastefully shapeshift through a ‘mystery-ridden online persona’ (-MTV) and a ‘day-tripper sound that delivers glitch juxtaposed with groove’ (-Ones To Watch). Taking 3 years to meticulously craft their newly released LP Indigo Jack & The New World Border, the album marks Huron utilising an eclectic arsenal of musical collaborators and recording techniques to take a dramatic step forward. Packaged in tandem with an album-length film & enigmatic live performances employing a traveling light-show, the “IJ&TNWB” LP is the Huron John discography’s defining statement. Recorded in over 25 creative spaces but mainly crafted in a Los Angeles commercial warehouse / music-venue in which they lived throughout, the album breaks bold new ground.
