Kerrie Joy was born in Brooklyn and raised on a church pew in Newburgh, NY. She is a poet, psalmist, singer, educator, and revolutionary. Her debut album, Preachin' To Myself, drops July 2022 and is a reclamation of her spirituality on her terms. After decades of denying herself in the name of holiness, she's decided to live up to her god-given name and purpose, carrying joy without apology, without reducing herself, without minimizing her light. As she says in her song, Heaven, "this little light is now a torch" and she has come blazing the stage! Kerrie Joy has performed at Red Rocks Amphitheater and TedX Mile High; she has collaborated with internationally known artists such as Monique Brooks-Roberts, Nelo aka God Remember, Rajdulari, and more.
