Durazzo is an often overly-bearded producer and multi-instrumentalist from Oakland, CA. After garnering praise for a series of live performance videos utilizing two Akai MPC drum machines simultaneously, Durazzo released his debut ‘Beats Vol. 1’. The record would begin to develop a buzz amongst the so-called ‘beat scene’, earning acclaim with early adopters of the lofi and instrumental hip hop movement. Growing local performances would lead him to hit the road the following year, and with a group of collaborators including RIDL, CTZN, JB Nimble, Fresh Kils, Cyberclops, Mike Nasa, AF THE NAYSAYER and others, he would continually tour North America, almost literally non-stop between 2012-2016. During this time Durazzo would continue releasing follow-up ‘Beats’ Tapes and an EP produced while on tour, ‘Cascades’, earning further acclaim and leading to an invitation to perform at Rhymesayers Entertainment’s annual SoundSet Festival. After sharing stages with hip hop luminaries like RJD2, Blockhead, Quantic, Gift Of Gab, Chali 2na, Blueprint, Grayskul and even Grandmaster Flash, Durazzo would retreat to the Pacific North West, to begin work on a number of projects including the long-rumored, but unconfirmed ‘Beats Vol. 3’.
