The Nottingham, England-based Thomas can confidently be described as one of the most prolific DJ/producers at work in the early years of the twenty-first century, with over 150 productions and remixes to his name. As an indication of the prodigious nature of his output, he released 25 remixes and productions in 2002 alone. His tracks and remixes have appeared on many of the UK’s leading dance music labels such as Soma Records, End Recordings, Honchos, Loaded, Subliminal and Hooj Choons. Thomas is able to produce a diverse range of styles, from jazzy, percussive house through to more techno -influenced sounds. He is considered a pioneer of the hybrid style, tech-house, which he performs as a DJ at leading UK clubs such as Fabric and The End. He has also DJed throughout Europe and in the USA. With Alan Barratt, he has recorded as the Producers and with Roger Watson (aka DJ Hal) he works as Red Moon. Thomas’ remix credits include work for Oliver Lieb, 16B, Slam and Audio Soul Project. In June 2003, he released his debut, 21st Century Dub, comprising house and tech-house tracks. The album showcased Thomas’ penchant for pulsating, heavy percussion, tribal beats and, unsurprisingly, dub effects.
