Dr. Jason Thoms is a professional singer, chorister, conductor, educator and composer. He was nominated for a 2022 Grammy as a featured soloist and member of the Saint Tikhon Choir for Benedict Sheehan's "Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom". He was also a member of the Saint Tikhon Choir for the 2021 Grammy-nominated "Kastalsky Requiem" recording. Jason is in demand as a professional soloist and chorister, especially as an octavist in music of the Russian Orthodox Church. Dr. Thoms is the Director of Choral Activities at Bismarck State College in Bismarck, ND. He is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Dakota Pro Musica a 501c3 non-profit, professional choral ensemble based in Bismarck, ND. Previously, he was the Director of Choral Activities at Concordia College New York from 2007-2020. Dr. Thoms is a graduate of St. Olaf College and Michigan State University.
