Cibelle Cavalli Bastos ( they/them ), also known as Cibelle and aevtarperform, is a multifaceted Berlin based Brazilian artist whose work spans music, visual arts, social activism and digital innovation. Graduated at the Royal College of Art in London in 2015, Cibelle’s career in music kicked off in 1999 for the groundbreaking São Paulo Confessions album by Suba with Crammed Discs. After Suba’s tragic passing, Cibelle joined Crammed Discs until 2013 releasing four albums, performing internationally at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, Tate Modern and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Cibelle has since collaborated with luminaries like Devendra Banhart, Seu Jorge, Marcelo Yuka, Dev Hynes, Paulo Furtado, Arto Lindsay, Chicks on Speed, Dry Cleaning’s Loulou Maynard and Nick Buxton, as well as David Byrne. Cibelle is a pioneer into the XR realm integrating AI music, picture-disc vinyl records with an interactive AR layer such as in “A Picture Can’t Take Me” highlighted in SXSW 2024 XR Experience , pushing the boundaries of interactive art. Under the alias 4DHD.xyz Cibelle has produced AR Remixers and synthesizers for Innervisions, PortraitXO and Meta Open Arts in Social AR. Cibelle's work has been shown at Martin Gropius Bau, ICA London, Transmediale, KW, Steirischer Herbst, The Photographers Gallery, Photomuseum Winterthur, SESC, MASP, Science Gallery London, showcasing their influence across disciplines and their pioneering role in blending technology with artistic expression.
