DJ OG Uncle Skip is a native of the DMV (DC, MD, VA) with a love for music and the legacy of the Southwest’s Chopped and Screwed style. In 2007, OG Uncle Skip began his career as a professional DJ, while studying Computer Science at Clark Atlanta University. He began receiving praise and heavy circulation in the Atlanta University Center campus as well as metro area. With an ever expanding catalogue of soul classics, heavy metal jewels, hip hop standards and B-Sides, Uncle Skip’s mixtape’s grew into a distinctive sound and an affinity for the cultivation of soundscapes. The good fortune of being introduced to DJ Screw’s musical innovation by two Texas natives at his school led Uncle Skip to become an unlikely Chopped and Screwed Master only a decade later. Today, DJ OG Uncle Skip’s accolades continue to grow and his star continues to rise as his talent have caught the ear and interest of many influencers and Artists not only in Atlanta, but throughout the Eastern and SouthWestern cities within the United States. As a veteran of SXSW, A3C, a resident DJ of internet radio platform AB+L Radio and official DJ of “The Editor” and “SAPIO” Lifestyle Publications, DJ OG Uncle Skip is more than qualified to curate the audible ambience of any project, festival, tour, event activation, or private gathering with the utmost skill, knowledge, and professionalism.
