Artist & producer born in 1995 and raised in South New Jersey. At 28 years old, VHS Tape has made a mark on the underground rap scene of both New Jersey and Philadelphia, PA; traveling to different open-mics and performances, consistently releasing music, and being extra meticulous with how the music is organized and how his albums are put together. He demonstrates his versatility by switching sub-genres as much as possible in order to appeal to wider demographics and to further expand his creative capabilities. Formerly known as LiL PSVCHO, until he hung up the identity in 2020 to reboot his music franchise and strive towards a more mature direction with all his projects. In 2022, his return was stamped with his Vandalism projects. Both albums were produced by him alone, as we witness the aftermath of him taking the time to learn to produce without samples and introduce a new flavor to his discography. This provided a “synthy” and more industrial sound to his work. Since Vandalism, VHS has branched out to work with other producers in order to encapsulate certain essences that would prove more difficult to self-produce. His comeback would signify his passion for the artwork and dedication to his craft indeed. In short, VHS Tape is an angry Caucasian aggressively spewing as many words as possible into a scheme of 2-4 bars while making multiple syllables rhyme over melodic synths and 808s that were beaten as a child.
