(hun-g-yuh) Hunjiya is the moniker of singer, producer, and songwriter Alice Kim, whose music blends modern production with rich vocal harmonies and intimate lyrics that feel like heart-to-heart conversations with a close friend. Her debut EP Lineage, released in 2017, was a personal gift for her grandparents, featuring stripped-down arrangements retelling the story of how they fell in love. In 2019, Hunjiya released her full-length album “Look After August,” which explored themes of self-care. The album garnered attention from British Vogue, who premiered her first music video for “give it/what i get.”In 2020, Hunjiya's electronic-pop EP “Fold,” created in collaboration with producer Justin Trout, marked a stylistic evolution that carried into her third album, KHAMAI, which explores the ever-shifting nature of identity.
