Lukas Arvidsson is an international concert organist, early keyboard musician, folk musician (national folk musician) and early music conductor. Since 2020 Arvidsson has been organist at the historic Cahman organ in Lövstabruk and Artistic Director of the Leufsta Cahman Academy. He often collaborates with other musicians, dancers and actors to find new ways of expressions. Most commonly linking early music to traditional folk music, with musicians such as nyckelharp player Torbjörn Näsbom and violinist Greger Siljebo, with whom he released a CD with folk and baroque music at the Schiörlin organ in Gammalkil (1801) in 2021. Since 2022 Arvidsson has been one of the continuo players for several projects in the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble. As a teacher, lecturer and musician, Arvidsson has been invited to the International Organ Academy in Gothenburg, Norddeutsche Orgelakademie, The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Malmö Academy of Music and Organum Histriae. Lukas teaches organ at Mellansel College for adult education in Uppsala. He is represented on video and audio recordings and has appeared on Swedish television and radio. Arvidsson has been artistic director in ECHO since 2023.
