Biography

Often, you'd hear stories of the newest musical sensations that caught a viral fire. Maybe you're more familiar with a "New Voice of the Streets" of a burgeoning movement. This isn't that story. "Silent King To A Vacant Throne" is the official debut album from multifaceted MC, Black Los. Hailing from Northeast Baltimore City, he has let his experiences, influences, and hopes craft an album that wasn't actually supposed to have happened. After an unfortunate hard drive crash, all motivation and material seemed lost. Gathering the pieces, he reunited with MC/Producer Lyriqs, of Linden, NJ. Through motivation, recording features here and there, they developed a rhythm and a creative bond. Along with longtime friend and beatsmith, Tim Offishial, they embarked on a musical project that would be a milestone of sorts to all involved. Black Los, at his very core, is a creative writer, who has been penning poetry since age 7, which has evolved into full-fledged songwriting for not only himself, but others as well. "Silent King To A Vacant Throne" is an honest, unassuming take of a modern hip-hop album that refuses to be confined to societal norms and cliches of it's contemporaries. With additional production and instrumentation from Bari Lutalo, vocals from Jeremy Raphael, Woody Rock (Formerly of multiplatinum selling R&B group, Dru Hill.), and Birmingham, England's own R&B songbird, Monique-Danielle, this album looks not only to intrigue, but exceed listener's expectations.
