Capone & BungtBangt are founders of the Italian Junk Music or ecological music, since 1999 they create instruments from recycled materials, solid urban waste that are transformed into instruments of great acoustic quality that give unique sound to the songs and lyrics written by the founder Maurizio Capone, already percussionist, singer and author from the eighties when less than twenty years old, with his first band, was produced by Pino Daniele and reached the limelight as co-protagonist of the film Blues Metropolitano by Salvatore Piscicelli and shortly after as a voice of the soundtrack of Scugnizzi di Nanni Loy written by Claudio Mattone. Since 1999 Capone has been the symbol of a new way of playing music, obtaining many awards but above all anticipating with ingenious creativity what has now become a central topic in everyone's life: environmental protection. In the twenty years of history the band has stepped on hundreds of stages and above all has traveled the world touching all continents with concerts in Japan, Egypt, Romania, Germany, Cuba, Switzerland. Their ability to transform waste into excellent musical instruments is, now a day, a very important example of sustainable creativity. A kind of positive virus that leaves an indelible mark on the audience and demonstrates, without rhetoric, that another world is possible!
