Coming from a small town in Picayune, Mississippi, Pm.Jova a.k.a James Toney started rapping since the age of 17 years old. Jova grew up in a close-knit family with 2 other siblings. His mom used to sing opera in school and some of his other family members are also musically inclined, and as a child he was exposed to traditions of gospel ,rap ,and r&b music as a kid ,but before music, he played football basketball and track & field for his team in high school.
