YCD CJ is an American rapper from Louisville, Kentucky. He is locally known for his single The Ville featuring Ant Gawd and B3. When quarantine started in 2020, he was indecisive about rapping until his friend who he calls his brother, YK DaeDae told him to start rapping. That's when YCD CJ decided to come up with a rap name. At first, he went by Cj The Best, then he changed it to Young Cj. He made a music group called YMM (Youngins Makin Music) with a friend that he's no longer associated with. But, during that time, he released his first single I'm Up Now which got over 500 views on YouTube. He released new singles every month on YouTube until NLE Choppa's song called "Bryson" influenced him to make music about God. That's when he finally came up with a rap name that represents him and God, YCD CJ. After that, he came out with his first gospel rap song called Jesus Is Salvation. He continued to release new singles on YouTube until he released his first album which is named after his first gospel rap song. Since then, he's released three more albums with "Killin Demons" being his best album yet.
