Keeping her promise she made to herself 10 years ago, ALYA has began releasing her music publicly in February 2023. After she introduced herself to the Slovak pop scene with MÁŠ MA, she continued to write about the peculiarities of the 21st century’s dating scene and failed situationships in her later releases such as SORRY, NEBO and NECHCEM BYŤ SAMA. Even though pop rock might seem as her sound of choice, in releases such as MESTO or SUPERNOVA, this 23 years old singer proved not to be afraid of genres such as house or hyper pop. In 2024, she is working on her next solo releases as well as on collaborations with other Slovak and Czech artists. ALYA sang through her whole life. Her songwriting journey began early in her teenage years, when she wrote her first song about the society’s perception of beauty standards called “Daisy”. Whether she was writing lyrics or melodies, music and songwriting has always been her safe space and a medium through which she could express her deepest feelings and emotions. However, being vulnerable in today’s world might seem pretty scary for a young girl and for some time her limiting beliefs, low self esteem and fear stood in the way. Luckily she went to therapy, gathered enough courage and took the necessary steps to expose herself and her art to the world. Now she’s more determined than ever to fulfill her and her inner child’s biggest hopes and dreams.
