Biography

test bio - Inspired by smooth synths of EDEN, the alt-punk style of brakence, and the whimsy and magic of artists like Bon Iver, Justin the Flora God makes music somewhere in the intersection of all these sounds. Justin the Flora God also hates talking about himself in the third person. I'll stop now. I really just want to make music that people can dance, cry, and sing to. Music that can be heard once and stay with you for a while, from an earworm or musical moment that leaves a good impression. Music that can be felt and bring more color to your days, in any way that matters, even if it's for a few minutes. I started making music in 2017 and immediately fell in love with the process. To make art, release it, and to be perceived by strangers is always a daunting, but rewarding cycle. With every new release, I grow in new ways, expanding my skills and sounds further than ever before. Every new release (at least to me) has always been the music I've been most proud of, because it feels like in order to grow and develop, I've needed to double my effort each time. There are songs that have taken so much from me. There are releases that contain takes of me crying or screaming that I couldn't have recorded any better because I would've forfeited that authenticity. I love what I do, even if it hurts sometimes. But when it's done, I'm filled with elation and bliss. And it's worth it every time. F.O.W.L. is on the horizon... 1.11.25
