On January 2, 1994, Issiah "Young chuchi”Monk was born in Augusta, Georgia and raised in Oakland, California. He found his passion in both singing and Rapping at the age of ten with influence from OutKast and tupac; imitating no less than the greatest. In sixth grade, Issiah participated in his first talent show at Caesar Chavez Middle School where he danced to "Perfect" by Chris Brown. After winning first place, he continued to compete in talent shows all through out middle school. In 2002, Derrick Monk, Issiahs father, introduced him to the legendary James Brown. Eventually, Issiah began going to the studio with his father where he quickly realized that he was not doing enough to express his true talents. Watching records being made in front of him only inspired Issiah to want to be better. At the time, Derrick Monk's focus was solely on working with "the god father of soul". It wasn't until 2009 when Derrick witnessed how talented his son really was, and it shifted his vision. Issiah's dream is to work with established artists such as Nipsey Hussle, Rick Ross, Drake, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and many more. When interviewing Issiah he stated, "All these artist started at the age I am and are successful in the industry . "I pray to God every night that I continue on this journey and achieve what I’ve always dreamed of doing. With God on my side, I know this is only the beginning and there is more to come.
