Biography

Prince Ofori a.k.a Koofori, was born in Berekum in the Bono Ahafo Region to a Cocoa purchasing clerk father and mother. He is the youngest of five children. The “Attaa Adwoa” hit-maker lived in Berekum and Sunyani in the Bono Ahafo Region, and also Kumasi in the Ashanti Region before relocating to stay with a childhood friend at Ofankor in Accra, Ghana. Bosom P-Yung had his senior high education at Kumasi Anglican Senior High School (KASS) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region of Ghana where he offered General Arts. He studied Political Science, Information Studies, and Sociology at the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, where he graduated from. The name “Bosom” is a ‘Twi’(a local dialect) word which means a lesser god, and he considers himself as the only lesser god with a foreign name — which is, “P-Yung”. The ‘P’ in ‘P-Yung’ stands for Prince which is his actual first name and the ‘Yung’ means the youngest son of five siblings of his family. P-Yung started music professionally in 2019 and gained recognition after going viral for his talent on social media in January 2020 as mentioned earlier. His personality and fashion sense is one to talk to about. He expresses himself through his fashion sense as a nonconformist. He is also known to have a great sense of humor. His energetic performance on stage has won him the title “energy god”. His ability to maintain the same energy from start to finish during every stage performance is amazing.
